Greenscreen is FUN
Today we had a blast in front of our new permanent greenscreen.
We put together a completely random music video which actually became pretty fun, but it's not done yet.
The point is that everyone in the class should contribute by taking one of the clips from the video and then do something fun with it...
Here is my first contribution. :)

First Animation Test, Andres Bendeck
Hi everybody! (Hi Dr. Nick!)
This is my first post on this blogg (a bit late I know).
My commercial is for painkillers. The story is about a child who is left at his grandmothers house after a birthday party.
The Child has a sugar rush and behaves really annoying because he is full of energy. The grandmothers starts to have a headache that grows after time. At last she cant stand it and takes a painkiller.
The painkiller makes the grandmother feel mutch better, and just when her headache is all gone, she sees her grandchild fall from the kitchen table and hurts his ankle badly. She rushes to him and comforts him, while she gives him a painkiller. The child feels better and they both walk away calmly and happy.
This really reeally short clip is right when the child bursts into the grandmothers house (Shot 2 actually). Its rendered with standard setting in Maya, Mental Ray. Its not a final render I just wanted to see how it would look like quick renderd, and I knew I wouldt go to school over the easter so I did a quick test.
But now its time for me to start studying again.
Hope you all had a good easter :)!

Robot baby
I'm currently thinking constantly about motion graphics even though I should be thinking about other stuff. The freedom of the artform attracts and fascinates me. Micke Lindell really was a great inspiration when he visited us a week ago.

Its been a good week
A good week has passed yet again. Have started work on my first male biped character.
I'm pleased with the results so far. This is what i made in 3 days.
The last two days we have had guestlectures with Micke Lindell, that has been
a wonderful insight into a motion graphics designers work.
It started with a lecture thursday with him showcasing things he had done.
Friday was more of a workshop day with Micke showing us some of his workflow
in After Effects. Really interesting, I had sort of "written off" AE as a software
I´d use in a project. But with tips from Micke I understand how powerful AE really is.

Rusted
Our autumn project did contain water simulations, a ferris wheel and a lot of masking. This is the "presentation version" not the final render.
Here is a breakdown of the compositing.

New blog for us who have something to show
Hello all!
This is a blog for the "Computer Graphics and Animation" students at Gotland University where we'll upload and share our work at the moment.
Right now it's very empty here, but soon things should start to happen.
We'll see who the first poster will be. Probably me, because I am the only one who knows about the blog for now.
